Research Interests of Jason Pinkney

Here are the areas of astronomy that interest me most.     

1. Supermassive Black Holes (SMBH) 2. Substructure in Clusters of Galaxies 3. X-ray wakes in clusters

In addition, I have undertaken projects with students at ONU which seek to reproduce published experiments.  An example is SWIRL-E, the Spiral Wave Instability in Rotating Liquid Experiment, an attempt to reproduce the results of the Russian team led by M.V. Nezlin.
